You may inquire about the selected item at another location, or on another
item by entering the new item code and/or location in the appropriate field as
previously described. You can also use the <Switch Backward> (F19) and
<Switch Forward> (F20) function keys in either the Item code or Location
field if an item is currently displayed. Using these keys in the Item code field
displays information for the previous or next item. Using them in the
Location field displays information for the specified item in the next or
previous location on your system.
TruServ Inquiry
If your company purchases merchandise from TruServ by transmitting
purchase orders electronically to their system, you can use the TruServ
Inquiry feature to access information about any of the items they sell. It
allows you to obtain cost, pricing, availability, and shipping information for an
item, as well as address and contact telephone numbers for the item
manufacturer. The TruServ Inquiry serves as an electronic catalog to help
you determine the items you need to order for your store.
To perform a TruServ inquiry, you must first export the item
information from TruServ's system onto the ECS Pro system
using a specific function on TruServ's system that is designated
for this purpose. Once it is exported, the TruServ item
information resides in the database on your ECS Pro system.
