Retail Price
The Retail price field is a memo field that allows you to enter a new unit
price for this item when the cost is changed. The price you enter is stored in
the purchase order, and you can later update it into the item record using the
Purchase Order / Receipt Price Stickers program in the Price Management
module.
You can have the system calculate a retail price based on a specific markup
percent and the unit cost of the item. Press <Retail Price> (PF3) in this
field, and the Calculate Retail Price window opens displaying the unit cost of
the entered item.
Markup Percent
Enter a markup percent for the item in the Markup percent field. The retail
price is calculated and is displayed when you press <Enter>. The system
calculates the retail price using the following formula:
[ (Markup % x Unit cost) + Unit cost = Retail price ]
Rounding Method
Enter a rounding method number or press <Prompt> (PF2) in the
Rounding method field to open the Rounding Method Selection window and
choose a method to use for rounding the calculated retail price. Refer to
your Price Management manual for details about each of the available
rounding methods. Press <Do> to accept the calculated retail price and
return to the Purchase Order Lines screen.
